Gathering trash and recycling used materials also are very perilous occupations. When it comes to most dangerous jobs, coal mining continues to be included. The work of steel erection, harvesting timber and piloting commercial or cargo airplanes are each risky positions in which to have a career. Military careers were not included in the calculation.
The most risky employment is not on land, but rather on the earth’s oceans. It is the perilous career of commercial fishing. For every thousand fishermen on the sea, there are about one and a half fatalities each year. Harvesting the seas has easily made the most dangerous jobs list since its inception.
